It’s time again for a Good News Memo and this one is to summarize some of the great items from 2022! This one is pretty long because there was so much great stuff last year.
One primary purpose of these memos is to help everyone strive to duplicate the efforts described below to produce similar great results. Decide!
Matt Denburg, CA – Completed a Telecom review for a large California County where we identified more than $1.6Million in annual savings (yes, that’s $4.8Million over three years) We’ve already implemented over $1Million and will likely exceed our expected findings before we’re done.
Additional Note (Jan 2023) — Found an additional $500,000 of annual savings…AT&T retired several legacy services and increased their costs sharply…we fixed that…total savings will now exceed $2.3Million for the county – every year for $6.9Million total!
(Editor’s Note – WOW!!! – Congrats Matt – and great job to the Telecom (Biljana & Brian) team!)
Rod Holter, KS – CEO of Private Equity Investment Firm asked me to complete a Service Agreement for a $50Million Tool & Mold Company for several cost categories and to also include the survivability clause in the agreement so we are fully paid for all savings after the sale…he is also adding two other, $100Million businesses – “Oh my gosh!”
Darren Morris, MO – Signed New York Power Authority for Telecom…they have thousands of phone lines and thousands of wireless devices…savings will be the biggest for any Schooley Mitchell client yet!
David Dow, IL – We have now presented 2 of 3 Divisions of our non-profit client for Waste savings of $270,000 over the Service Agreement…largest Division is yet to come at the end of the month…We are also onboarding Telecom and EPP with more categories already approved (Editor’s Note – Not only is this client life-changing for David, it’s also providing this charity with so much more money for their programs!)
Neil Hostein, ON – renewals with many happy clients over the years…set up retainer arrangements with many to simply manage their costs and vendors…currently have $60,000+ in retainer income each month (Editor’s Note – that’s more than $720,000 of annual income before the year even starts!)
Matt Nagy, CO – A huge shout out to Christine Hunking at Head office for doing such a great job on multiple SPS clients for me…in particular, my recent biggest client savings since I started my Franchise with $183,000 in Service Agreement savings (41%) for my Manufacturing client…also saved $42,000 for EPP and $6,000 for Waste for same client!
Rod Holter, KS – Great Fuel client…savings just under $240,000 for the Service Agreement for Liquid Nitrogen…vendor was wishy-washy in the beginning, but Carl & Kate pursued them, and we ended up with great savings for our client.
William McKissock, FL – Waste savings for my medical group client exceeds $114,000 with more locations yet to complete… will be more than $150,000 in Waste savings and now pursuing Telecom which will be even bigger
Eric Feingold, NY – Just presented my large healthcare client their wireless Value Report for $738,000 in annual savings…also saving them $15-17,000 per month for SPS
Darren Morris, MO – Still invoicing this client in three categories, Waste, Telecom, and EPP…savings of $127,000 so far…client sent me a note – “Thank you for these last couple of years. We are truly appreciative. The savings really help out a small business like us. Nothing but kind things to say.”
Matt Denburg, CA – Presenting Value Report to a local municipality for $160,000 in annual savings after being told by the client we probably won’t find much!
David Dow, IL – College client Telecom savings of $110,000… savings of 50% on wireline and 35% on wireless…provided immediate cost savings for both expenses and a path forward moving them to digital with minimal disruption…finance and IT were very happy…not just cost savings but truly expense optimization…great job Ashley!
Mike Salazar, WA – School District client saved $90,000 ($270,000 for three years) per year on their wired phone services…there was no change of vendor…CFO was very pleased with the savings and also the fact that it only took three hours of their time from start to finish to realize these savings.
Mick Wienholt, VA – Accepted Value Report for Waste expenses for Retail client for more than $150,000.
Kris Arnheim, MD – Just received the quarterly Post Audit for Maintenance client for EPP…$47,500 in savings for the quarter so my share is almost $8,000 per MONTH!
William Sever, FL – Mid-sized manufacturer had just renegotiated their rates for EPP and said, “go ahead, you won’t find anything.” Original monthly savings were under $500 per month but with some additional adjustments we were able to save them $10,000 (37%) per month…I will be invoicing them $5,000 per month for three years and they are ecstatic about it!
Marc Schwalb, PA – Signed my first two clients for Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) and we are saving them $41,000 per year ($123,000 for three years)…seems like we’re going to like this new cost category
Jim Kiernan, CO – Signed Commercial Real Estate company with 89 locations…took patience and persistence to get the deal completed…already saved them $24,000 per year for just Waste on 7 locations…82 to go plus other categories!
Michael Salazar, WA – Education client accepted our Value Report for Waste that will pay more than $51,000 over the Service Agreement (Editor’s Note – Michael had 5 approved Value Reports in the month that will pay him just under $95,000 in total – a pretty good month!)
Lyall Newby, NC – Just completed first post audit for challenging Waste client…over all savings of $44,000…has now opened the door for Small Package Shipping Review with a spend of more than $2.5Million annually – “Kelly did an awesome job with this client!”
Wayne UnRuh, Regina – Along with subcontractor Ken Buchanan – Signed first client within 48 hours of completing training and now have signed 6 new clients in first month of operation (Now that’s addressing ramp up!)
Matt Denburg, CA – Recently identified $200,000 telecom savings per year for one of my school district clients…Chief Business Officer looked at CIO and said, “why wouldn’t we do this?” – Also had two other Value Reports approved in the month that will pay me more than $120,000 for Telecom and Merchant Services savings
